Quality and Operations Lead is responsible for working and interacting with Stellantis Brands, Logistics, Fleet, Product Development, Marketing, Purchasing & Quality groups within NAFTA, to collaborate on making sure all Vehicle Custom Shop Assembly Operational attributes are in place & launches are coordinated effectively, within defined timing & meeting all volume & revenue expectations. He/She is responsible for day-to-day production at MCSs with respect to meeting the quality requirements of Stellantis owned vehicles processed through the MCSs. He/She is the primary contact person between Mopar, assembly plants and the up-fit suppliers on all operations and quality matters
- Work with the up-fit suppliers and quality engineers to ensure that Stellantis approved manufacturing processes (Critical processes, Control Plans, Work Instructions, etc.) are followed. This may require auditing 2nd shift and weekend shifts
- Work with up-fit suppliers and part supply base when needed to avoid/resolve short term disruptions to part supply.
- Lead identification and resolution of all incoming part and assembly process issues (using Global Issue Management (GIM) process where applicable).
- Lead execution of new program production start at MCS with 100% Containment and Containment Release process.
- Lead communication of vehicle incoming quality issues with assembly plant quality organization.
- Manage ship hold and yard hold at MCSs as required.
- Launch all new KM, KX and EJ programs in Toluca by leading X1, X2, X3 and J1 build phases at the new larger Mopar Custom Shop facility.
- Lead post launch daily quality initiatives of the KM, KX, and EJ programs working closely with Toluca Assembly Plant quality team.
- Launch 25MY DT in Saltillo by leading X1, X2, X3 and J1 build phases at the Mopar Custom Shop.
- Lead post launch daily quality initiatives of the DT programs working closely with the new DT Assembly Plant quality team.
OPERATIONAL: 50%
- Support Planners, Brands & Vehicle Engineering w/Custom Shop Location, capability &/or Program selection
- Lead Facility start-up & readiness – tooling, equipment, operator training, process sheets
- Interaction with Assembly Process Manufacturing
- Support Engineering by performing installations and validating work instructions
- Assist in Operational improvements resulting in labor savings and overall productivity
- Vehicle Volume Planning with Volume Planning, Assy. Plants, Vehicle Flow to Custom Shops
- Monitor daily/weekly build plans & coordinate with Commercial Teams, Assembly Plants & Suppliers
- Leverage component supplier capacity issues to avoid material delays
- Eliminating any bottlenecks that hinder launches
- Support Assembly with information that helps reduce incorrect builds within the various plants
- Mitigate E&O at the Custom Shops on Assembly Short Builds

- Launch a new larger Mopar Custom Shop facility in Toluca for the new KM, KX, and EJ programs.
- Oversee, lead, and train all staff located in Toluca to support the KM, KX, and EJ programs.
- Oversee, lead, and train all staff located in Saltillo to support the launch of DT programs.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- English fluent, this position reports to US
- 8 years of minimum experience in this position or similar in the automotive industry
Technical Knowledge:
- Knowledge of PFMEA, Control Plan, PSO, PPAP processes
- World Class Manufacturing (WCM) experience a plus
- MS Office proficiency, including presentation skills.
- Vehicle Assembly, Logistics & Quality systems
- Supplier readiness reviews, with focus on in-process assembly & repair capabilities
- Operational efficiency & through-put enablers
